Just Us Layout .....................................

Hi all and happy Wednesday to you.  I'm determined to get some more scrapbooking done this year. This photo was taken at the Fairy Fair that we went to last year and we had such a lovely day. I really love this photo of me and Grace and as I'm normally the otherside of the camera I don't get that many of us together.  Really must try and get in more photos this year!

Everything on my page is from this's month Like for Ever kit which I subscribe to.  I'm determined to kill this kit so watch out for more layouts soon!  My photo looks all the wonk!  I tried so hard to get a good photo and it's been so dull I had to get it under my daylight lamp and this is the best that I could manage!

I used a great sketch to create this layout from Stuck January 1st Challenge which I would like to enter my layout into.

A Dinkie Card ..............

Hi all, I hope you had a good weekend.  I had a busy one as I took part in a 15 mile race yesterday.  It was such a hard course with 6 massive hills!  Living in Norfolk I am really not used to hills and 15 miles is also the furthest I have ran so far in my marathon training.  Anyway I did it in 2 hours 33 minutes so I was very pleased when I got to the end!

So onto my card, this cutie is a dinkie stamp from LC Designs (Little Claire). The papers are from the Dinkies Falling Daisies Paper Pack also from LC Designs.

Thanks for stopping by.

Smile We're on a Zebra! .................

Hi all I hope your week is going well.  I've been half way across Norfolk for work today, so I was glad to get home tonight.  I can't wait till the weather is better and the nights start to pull out.  I'm finding it really hard to get motivated for crafting in the evening at the moment as I| just want to sit on the sofa and be cozy!

I made this layout last week at a scrapbooking crop that I go to in King's Lynn.  We are lucky for a little town we have the most wonderful craft shop called Sprinkle Twinkle.

Anything but a card at Crafty Ribbons .................

Hi all, it's time for another challenge at Crafty Ribbons and our challenge for your this time is anything but a card.  My make is pen pot or make brush holder.   This came as a blank mdf pot so I painted with cream chalk paint and covered with pretty paper. I also wrapped some gorgeous Chantilly Cotton Lace - Jane round the pot and added some paper flowers to finish.  I made a few of these for Christmas presents and I put pencils in some for my little girl and her friend and then make up brushes for a friend and my cousin.

I hope you will come along and join in the challenge this time, this is the fantastic prize on offer for the winner:

Shabby Chic Cards x 2 ..........

Hi all, this is a scheduled post as I'm back to work today boo hoo!  After being for over 2 weeks it will be very hard getting out of bed this morning!  Never I must be positive and thankful I have a job so onwards and upwards so they say!

I made these cards just before Christmas for friends who have birthdays in December.  They are very similar cards just with different sentiments.   I embossed the sentiments with pink glittery embossing powder that looks really sparkly in real life!

I have used some gorgeous Chantilly Cotton Lace - Jane and some Seam Binding both from Crafty Ribbons.  The papers are from LOTV, flowers and twine from the Ribbon Girl.  The leaf die is by Joanna Sheen. The first sentiment is from Inkylious and the second is by Woodware.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Happy New Year and Some Table Painting ................

Hi all, Happy New Year to you!  I've no card to share today but I do have a table! It was my last day off work today so after running 5 miles I got the paint out and started on this project.  I brought this table for £30 in a charity shop which I thought was such a bargain as it's such a sturdy table and the leg kept falling off our last one as it had really seen better days!

I've put 2 coats of cream chalk paint on so far but it will need at least one more.  Chalk paint is great as it will stick to anything without the need for rubbing down which would have had to be done to this table using normal paint as it was very shiny.  When I've finished painting I will add a coat of Annie Sloan wax to it which will prevent the paint from chipping.  I'm really pleased with how it's coming along.

I will be back with some cards tomorrow!

Thanks for stopping by.
